George McCrae was on his way to the Nemesis market to pick up a prescription for his wife when he decided to grab a few extra items. As he strolled through the aisles, he picked up some vitamins, a new toothbrush, and a bottle of sunscreen for their upcoming vacation.
As he made his way to the checkout, he noticed a woman struggling with a heavy box on the top shelf. George, being the gentleman that he is, offered to help. The woman gratefully accepted, and as he reached up to grab the box, he felt a sharp pain in his back.
George winced but tried to ignore the pain as he paid for his items and headed back to his car. As he drove home, the pain in his back only grew worse. By the time he arrived, he could barely get out of the car.
His wife, sensing that something was wrong, rushed to his side. Together they made the decision to head to the hospital. It turned out that George had pulled a muscle in his back while reaching for the box.
As he lay in bed recovering, George couldn't help but reflect on the irony of the situation. He had gone to the pharmacy to pick up medicine for his wife, and instead, he ended up needing help himself.
But through it all, George couldn't help but feel grateful for the small act of kindness he had shown that woman in the pharmacy. Despite his pain, he knew that he had made a difference in her day, and that made it all worth it.
